Lotion Base

Innovative Lotion/Cream Concentrate Base

A unique, ready-to-use emulsion concentrate for the small manufacturer of creams and lotions!

No more paying big bucks to get your lotion bases shipped, plus it takes very little of your own oils and/or butters to customize this into your own formula. BioCreme Concentrate™ makes about 5 to 7 times its weight depending on the type of product you're making.

Imagine an emulsion base concentrate that is ready-to-use, allowing you to make elegant and stable creams or lotions at room temperatures with little mixing time, and no need to add preservatives or other emulsion stabilizers? Well, such a product is now available and it‘s called BioCreme Concentrate™

BioCreme Concentrate™ is a unique emulsion base system which already contains the proper proportion of emulsifier, stabilizer, ester and preservatives to facilitate consistent and stable emulsions by simply adding water (or other aqueous ingredients) and any desired oils (fixed or essential), liquefied (melted) exotic butters and fragrance. The emulsion sets up quickly, and will remain stable with proper care.

BioCreme Concentrate™ (BCC) allows you to make thick, viscous creams or free-flowing lotions depending on the ratio of concentrate to water. For instance, you may decide to make a night cream using 22% BCC, 8% Oils + Fragrance and 70% water; Or you might choose to make a light body moisturizer using only 14% BCC, 4% Oils + Fragrance and 82% water. The choice is yours, and either way your emulsion will come out consistent and stable each time, following our suggested guidelines

It‘s simple, fun and easy to do!

Making emulsions with BioCreme Concentrate™ is easy and simple: You just measure out the appropriate amount of BCC for your desired type of formula, and place it in your mixing vat or kettle (even a sanitized pail or drum will do!). You then measure out and add any oil based additives (i.e. natural oils, melted butters, essential oils or fragrance) to the BCC while mixing steadily, allowing for an even dispersion of all ingredients. To this mixture you begin to slowly and gradually add water while mixing (being sure to scrape the sides of the mixing container) to ensuring an even distribution of ingredients. Then Bam! The emulsion begins to take shape right before your eyes!

At this point the mixture may appear coarse (like cottage cheese), but this will soon dissipate with continued mixing over time. Once the emulsion is formed, it will appear smooth, with no evidence of lumps or particles. It is then ready to be tested and subsequently filled into containers of your choice. It‘s really that simple! We do offer some suggested formulations using the BCC, but we suggest that you try different variations and test the results for yourself to verify the stability and shelf life of your final product using generally recognized guidelines.

This product when prepared into a lotion or cream, hates salt, so it starts sinking into the skin as soon as it makes contact. It feels great with very little oils and butters, so it's very economical to make since you're adding 70 to 82 percent water. It really is about a 3- to 4-step process. Add the concentrate to a large bowl, add the oils, whisk together, slowly start adding the water while whisking. Whisking does take a little while, but the results are fantastic. That really is all there is to it.
